The data presented in the publication were sourced from the results of statistical surveys, with were completed with the data from instructions that are connected with forest environment. The data are presented on annual basic in order to ilustrate time changes in forest resources management and schow the size and results of business activities.Soma data, mainly those on activities in the State Forest, were given only for the year 2009. In order to emphasize ecological and social functions of forests the publication presents educational forms performed in forests, threats, and forest environment protection. The study also includes some forest curiosities.
